Kim Moore, M.ADS, B.A. Psychology, Honours
Clinical Director
Kim Moore co-founded The Portia Learning Centre Inc. in 2006 and she is an associate of Establishing Operations Inc. Since beginning as a private consultant in 1999, Moore has gained extensive experience working as a behaviour analyst for both children with autism and typically developing children with severe behavioural disorders.

Trained by Holly Kibbe, M.S., BCBA and Cherish Twigg, M.S., BCBA of Establishing Operations Inc.

Senior Therapist for ten years applied behaviour analysis (ABA) programs based on Skinner's analysis of verbal behaviour.

Twelve years experience successfully applying behaviour analysis techniques and principles to help children with autism both to increase and to reduce behaviours.

Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development: participated in over 900 hours training in applied behaviour analysis (ABA) and discrete trial teaching (DTT) techniques.

Experienced in creating and presenting comprehensive training workshops to ABA/DTT therapists and parents.

The students and staff of Longfields-Davidson Heights Secondary School hosted the 1st Annual Halloween with Derek event. Derek is the 4 year old son of one of the teachers on staff who has been diagnosed with autism. Derek's father will be running in the New York City Marathon on behalf of his son a week after the event. All proceeds for the event will go to support autism programmes in the Ottawa area (Ottawa Children's Treatment Centre and the Portia Learning Centre).
