We’re proud to partner with TutorBright to offer an innovative ABA Academic Support Program. This program is a unique blend of evidence-based behaviour therapy and academic tutoring, designed specifically for neurodiverse learners.
At The Portia Learning Centre, we understand that many children benefit from extra support not just with behaviour, but also with executive functioning, attention, emotional regulation, and learning readiness. Our partnership with TutorBright allows us to deliver tutoring that is embedded within a clinically supervised ABA framework, ensuring your child receives both academic and behavioural support in one integrated program.
What Makes This Program Unique?
- Therapist-led tutoring: Each child is matched with a TutorBright academic coac who is trained and supported by our ABA team to implement effective learning strategies.
- Behaviour Analyst Supervision: A Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) oversees each program to ensure academic goals are aligned with your child’s developmental needs.
- Individualized Goals: Sessions focus on academic skill building (e.g., literacy, numeracy, homework support) while incorporating ABA principles like reinforcement, visual supports, and prompting.
- School Collaboration: We help bridge the gap between home and school by aligning tutoring goals with IEPs or classroom expectations.
Who is This For?
This program is ideal for children who:
- Need help with academic tasks but also benefit from ABA support
- Have a diagnosis such as ASD, ADHD, or learning disabilities
- Are working toward school readiness, executive functioning, or self-regulation goals
- May not thrive in traditional tutoring environments
