Funding and Financial Help

We know that wanting the best for your child while figuring out how to pay for it can feel impossible. That’s why we’ve made funding navigation one of our core services. Pam Giles, our Client Services Manager, has helped hundreds of families access funding over the past decade. She’ll walk you through every option available and help you create a plan that works for your family.

You don’t have to figure this out alone. Call us first – before you start the paperwork, before you get overwhelmed by government websites, before you give up. We’ll help you understand what’s available and guide you through the process step by step.

Psychological Insurance Coverage
Unlike most ABA clinics in Ottawa, we have licensed psychologists on staff. This means many of our services can be billed directly to your extended health benefits under psychological services coverage.
Ontario Autism Program
The Ontario Autism Program (OAP) provides government funding and support services for children and youth diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) until age 18.
Military Funding
Military families may have access to specialized funding support for children’s therapy services. As a trusted provider working directly with Military Family Service Centres, we can help you navigate available funding options.
Extended Health Benefits
Your workplace insurance may cover more than you think. We provide properly formatted invoices with psychological service codes and help you maximize your yearly benefits.
Disability Tax Credit
Federal tax relief that can provide significant yearly savings for families with children who have developmental disabilities. We can help you understand the application process and required documentation for the disability tax credit.
Medical Expense Tax Credit
Families in Ontario can claim the cost of ABA therapy as a medical expense on their taxes. Up until 2024 on a Psychologist or Medical Doctor could sign off on the Medical Expense Tax Credit, but as of 2025, CRA officially recognizes Registered Behaviour Analysts as medical practitioners in Ontario and can now sign off on the required documentation.
Community Grants
Various organizations offer financial assistance for therapy services including local community foundation grants, and service club scholarships. We stay current on available opportunities and can help guide you to relevant programs for your family’s situation.
